This Action Group provides oversight and direction to the Collective ed. Doors to Mentors program which ended formally in December. The Action Group has been working to ensure current mentors and mentees continue to be supported.
The Action Group has developed a sustainable, community-driven transition plan investigating potential models and funding sources for 2022 and beyond. Doors to Mentor Program achievements include:
- 18 mentors and mentees begin matched,
- 34 mentors being trained and registered as mentors, (70 mentors in total being trained)
- A 4.4 out of 5 satisfaction rating for mentees and a 4.8 satisfaction rating for mentors with their program experience.
- Fifteen organisations contributing financially/in-kind/through volunteering. Fourteen of these were local Central Coast based.
- An estimated $104,000 plus contribution in mentor volunteer hours
- A range of documents (toolkit, policies and procedures, training manual, Doors to Mentors website, Doorstomentors | Facebook to support implementation for the program)
